History Under the Influence was an improv show inspired by the YouTube/Comedy Central series Drunk History.

History Under the Influence started out as a Free Fringe format. It was proposed by Kevin Miller and played in the The Free Fringe on 3/20/14 with a cast of Ryan Hill, Jillian Summar, Bridget Brewer, David Lampe, Caeriel Crestin, Mitchell Deane, Peter Rogers, and Kevin Miller. The cast was recruited from a post on Roy Janik's Facebook wall.
After a very successful Free Fringe show, Kevin submitted the show for a month-long run in The Threefer at The Hideout Theater, somewhat tongue-in-cheek, not expecting it to be scheduled. History Under the Influence played five sold-out shows at the Hideout in May of 2014. It was regarded by the cast as an effortless format where comedy happened naturally. Audience response was extremely positive.
