This is a wiki devoted to the Austin Improv community. It's here to accumulate information about the theaters, troupes, performers, shows, and history associated with the Austin improv scene.

Theaters

There are four comedy theaters in Austin, Texas that produce improv shows:

• Coldtowne Theater
• The Hideout Theatre
• The Institution Theater
• The New Movement Theater

In addition, Salvage Vanguard Theater still hosts occasional improv shows. Until 2013, Gnap! Theater Projects produced improv shows there.

The Merlin Works Institute for Improvisation also teaches classes and produces monthly shows at the ZACH theater.

In addition to one-off shows from troupes, both troupes and Austin improv theaters often produce runs of shows themselves.
