Precious is a troupe of young go-getters that play like people their age...with nothing to lose and no regard for themselves or others. Their blend of physical comedy, witty humor and fast-paced scenes blends well with their ability to take a story and discover all the possibilities in the world they create. They may be young, but combined, they have years of performance ranging from sketch comedy, dramatic theater, video sketches, standup and more.
"What's Your Deal?"
Their answer to the "What's Your Deal?" question on a 2012 application to perform at The Hideout Theatre:
We take a suggestion from the audience of something that has been on their mind lately. Whatever they suggest, we ask them follow up questions to generate ideas. When the show begins, we have a pretty grounded, but fun source scene where we generate information and games that can be called back later. If we find something funny we attack it hard and return back to the grounded scene. We usually follow characters in the world that has been created or we introduce characters that would also exist in this world. We tend to pick up the pace as the show goes along and do our best to wrap it up in the time that is allotted. Our last several shows have ended with a nice little bow on them.
