The Saturday Night Special was an improv double-bill that ran Saturday nights at Salvage Vanguard Theater.

The first Saturday Night Special happened on 3/8/08. It started out running on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10:30pm. Then the following February, Gnap! Theater Projects restructured its schedule, expanding to include 8pm and 10pm shows on both Friday and Saturday. At that point, The Saturday Night Special became a weekly show that ran every Saturday at 10pm.
