The Surprise Party is Shannon McCormick and Madeline Malka and a guest from outside the world of improv. The Surprise Party is challenges and limitations. The Surprise Party is abstract improv at its finest.
"What's Your Deal?"
Their answer to the "What's Your Deal?" question on a 2010 application to perform at The Hideout Theatre:
Madeline and Shannon and their guest artist each right a challenge/limitation/surprise for each of the other two players at the top of the show. The audience choses which surprise is in play for that player for the duration of the show. Improv plus another art discipline ensue. The final surprise is the guest artist reveals who the next guest artist for the Surprise Party will be.
