The Weekender (formerly The Sunday Showcase) is a performance slot at The Hideout Theatre that provides stage time for Hideout students.
Summary
The Weekender happens every Sunday at 8pm at The Hideout. It is a triple bill with two student acts followed by an experienced headliner act.
The headliner acts are scheduled by Roy Janik, who puts out a call for applications every two months.
History
The Weekender began in May 2010 under the name "The Sunday Showcase". By July 2010, it had been renamed "The Weekender".
