Tim Honker is an improviser and sketch writer/director/actor in Austin, Texas. Tim has been performing improv and sketch comedy in Austin and around the country since 2008. As a ColdTowne Conservatory graduate from March 2009, Tim currently performs improv with Nice Astronaut and Stool Pigeon. He also co-created the sketch comedy troupe Townsville with Nicole McCracken. Tim co-developed and directed Arthur Simone’s (Best Actor – Austin Chronicle, 2009) one-man sketch show Dear Frailty. He also wrote and performed with the sketch group UpTowne and has performed with the ColdTowne Touring Company.

Tim got started in improvised comedy by performing in improvised narrative short films in junior high with his friends under the name "FAS Productions". FAS Productions continued through high school and on into college when his friends became film students at the University Of Texas.

Non-comedy

Tim graduated from the University of Texas in 2006 with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Computer Science. Tim spent several years working in the defense industry designing and testing weapons as a mechanical, software, test and systems engineer.

Tim assisted on design of FASTRAC, the University of Texas's nanosatellite, that was launched into low Earth orbit on November 19, 2010. He went on to be the structural subsystems lead on FASTRAC's successor, ARTEMIS, which was not launched into space.

Tim is also an avid homebrewer, a NAUI certified Master Scuba Diver, and a co-curator of ColdTowne Theater's Bad Movie Night.
