ZA consists of two veteran improvisers exploring scenes with grounded characters in real situations. We aspire to explore a moment in time with these characters while still leaving space for a sense of playfulness and fun that is inherent in both of our personal styles of improvising.
"What's Your Deal?"
Their answer to the "What's Your Deal?" question on a 2012 application to perform at The Hideout Theatre:
Basically we will be performing mostly monoscene, but with the possibility of break outs or moving onto something new if one scene seems like it has run its course.
The biggest thing we want to focus on is the idea of keeping energy going throughout a monoscene, hopefully playing with a wide range of emotion and energy levels and making sure that we entertain ourselves and each other at least as much as we are entertaining the audience.
