A bio from the website for Rachel and Dave:

Dave Buckman has directed, taught and performed at some of the world’s leading improvisational comedy institutions. After several years studying and teaching improv in Chicago, Dave served as Artistic Director of Boom Chicago in Amsterdam for 2 years, where he was fortunate to work with and direct some of the funniest people working in film, television and web-based comedy today. He culminated his run in Europe with directing “Boom Chicago: RockStars” the second stage-swap with The Second City’s Main Stage in its 50 year history.

After Europe, Dave worked as a director and teacher at The Second City in Chicago and Cleveland, directing Cleveland’s 2003 Main Stage revue, “Who’s yer Baghdadi?” and directing three original revues with the National Touring Company.

Since 2005, Dave has been living in Austin, TX with wife and creative partner Rachel Madorsky, teaching and performing with their award-winning troupe The Frank Mills. Dave also performs with You're Not My Real Dad, Brain Trust and with Rachel and Dave.

He is also a producer for The Out Of Bounds Comedy Festival and has helped produce the Austin Sketch Fest and Ladies are Funny Festival (LAFF).
