Chrissy Shackelford is an improviser, actress, and audience member who works primarily with ColdTowne Theater.

History

Before coming to improv, Chrissy Shackelford attended the University of Texas at Austin for Theatre & Dance. During her time there, she performed in many University productions such as: "The Difficulty of Crossing a Field"; "Funky Snowman"; "PROOF"; "Trying to Remember"; "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde" (1); "Junie B. Jones: Jingle Bells, Batman Smells"; and "Chronicles of Badass Women". She continues to act locally at theaters around Austin including The City Theatre Company, SummerStock Austin, The Long Center, The Paramount Theatre, and The Zach Scott Theater. She wrote, directed, and performed in her first sketch show/comedic play "Survival Skills for the Modern 20 Something" at the 2013 FronteraFest Short Fringe Festival. She began improv in January 2012 in Chicago at a Second City intensive, upon return to Austin, she began taking classes at ColdTowne Theater and graduated from their conservatory in July 2013. She moved to New York in 2014.
