History

Rob Yoho is a Florida-born (he knows all the jokes) theatre artist and teacher with years of experience making scripted and improvisational theatre in educational and professional settings alike. Prior to relocating to Austin, Rob earned his Master of Fine Arts in Directing from Baylor University (2015) and a Bachelor of Arts (Magna cum Laude) in Theatre Performance and Directing from Rollins College (2010). Earlier in his career, he spent two years touring internationally with the Missoula Children’s Theatre, and while living in Orlando he appeared in productions with Orlando Shakespeare Theater and the Empty Spaces Theatre Company, and directed for Rake Theatre.

As a director, Rob’s varied credits include scripted plays such as True West, Mr. Marmalade, Goldfish, Proof, Dinner with Friends, Annie, The Wedding Singer: the Musical, and improvised/devised creations such as In Absentia and Variations on a Theme (original concept by David Charles).

Rob is also an actor in improvised theatre, having appeared in productions in Austin at The Hideout Theatre, The Institution Theatre, and serving as one of the original devisers of the the improvised Greek tragedy It’s All Greek to Me (Orlando, 2011).
