Summary

Press Blurb

Their press blurb from The 2010 Out of Bounds Comedy Festival:

The $3 Bills improvise fast-paced, touching, face-slapping, over-the-top series of scenes based on a descriptive verb, such as "hope" or "love" and a monologue that expands on that word.

The $3 Bills are a group of GLBTQIAA improvisers that work to not only bring a higher and deeper level of improvised comedy to the greater Austin community, but to also bring a more GLBTQIIAA-friendly atmosphere to an otherwise straight and mainstream-dominated improv community. The $3 Bills are the queerest thing in comedy, and not just because of their sexual orientation.

The $3 Bills have appeared at the Butch Voices Gender Blender Splendor and the Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival.

"What's Your Deal?"

Their answer to the "What's Your Deal?" question on a 2009 application to perform at The Hideout Theatre:

We do short form scenes, games, etc with a Queer twist. For example we may do a town hall style game with the subject being gay marriage, with someone taking a extreme Right view and another an extreme liberal view. Or, we may do a scene where the suggestion asked for is "a good name for a drag queen".
