Topping Haggerty is an actress, sketch comedy writer & director, and improv performer.

History

Topping came to Austin from New York City in 2008.

In New York City she directed such improv shows as The Kihckercast Project, Late Night Ritalin, What Men Talk About While Women Make Us Wait, and Seeking: Sexy Sane and Single.

She was also a member of many troupes in New York City, that include, but are not limited to: Cute Kids with Guns, Start Trekkin' NYC, L'quid P'aper, Channel Surfing, The Bastards, Jenkins, Amnesia Wars Etc., etc.

Topping is also known for her dark unique sketch comedy. In Austin she put up Akimbo Bubble Scuttle Ruckus for Frontera Fest 2011. She was part of the first Second City Conservatory NYC sketch show We Built This City on Rent Control. Also, in New York she either wrote sketches or directed for, and often performed in: Scrap Metal Theatre, The Resistance, TJ Stomp, Skeeger, and Short & Funny: The Final Chapter.

Topping received her BA in Drama from San Francisco State University, and studied improv with Bay Area Thearesports, The Upright Citizens Brigade, Second City NYC, Armando Diaz, Michael Gellman, Mark Sutton, Joe Bill, Billy Merritt, and Mick Napier, among others.

Topping was a company member with Gnap! Theater Projects.
