The Hilarions were an improv troupe -- possibly the first regularly-performing troupe in Austin.
History
The Hilarions were the house troupe at The Comedy Workshop. They performed late-night shows at the Workshop on Tuesdays through Thursdays. They were named after a little-known Greek Orthodox monastery on Mary Street called St. Hilarion.
The troupe disbanded when the club folded. Chris Bonno and Angela Davis went on to found The Laff Staff at The Laff Stop.
