Channel 2 is an improv troupe created by Tyler Lane in the Fall of 2015.
Summary
Channel 2 creates a unique movie with each performance, drawing inspiration from a randomly generated Netflix micro-genre.
The troupe began rehearsing for a short period before settling on a name, thus leading many individuals throughout Austin to refer to them as Tyler Lane and the Giggle Gang.
Performances
Oct. 14, 2015 - ColdTowne Cagematch
In Channel 2's debut performance, the gang created an "Underdog Mind-Bending Mockumentary." Channel 2 was defeated in the Cagematch by a new troupe of ColdTowne All-Stars dubbed Cool Little Night Owls.
Oct. 22, 2015 - Hideout Threefer
Channel 2 appeared in the Oct. 22nd Threefer alongside Minority Report and SSHH, performing a "Mistaken Identity Vigilante Satire".
Nov. 1, 2015 - Hideout Weekender
Channel 2 headlined the Hideout Weekender performing an "Evil Kid Fairy Tale" in a show scored by Tosin Awofeso.
