Golden Age is an improv troupe.

Summary

Golden Age celebrates their 10/24/12 Cagematch championship.
Golden Age celebrates their 10/24/12 Cagematch championship.

The troupe was formed by ColdTowne students and graduates to explore sci-fi-themed improv.

At first, they performed a Bat -- that is, a Harold in the dark -- as their intro.

Now, they do three short scene paintings, then move into grounded monoscenes with side support in the form of sound effects, music, etc. There is some popping out, but they try tokeep that to a minimum or until the run towards the end.

Press Blurb

Their press blurb, taken from a 2013 application to perform at The Hideout Theatre:

From the tiniest of cells to a distant dying star, The Golden Age explores where we came from, and where we are going. There is other life out there, and we can show you what it's like.

"What's Your Deal?"

Their answer to the "What's Your Deal?" question on a 2013 application to perform at The Hideout Theatre:

We dress science-y (most of us own Saganesque sport jackets), and do 3 short scene paintings then move into grounded mono scenes with side support in the form of sound effects, music, etc. Some popping out but we try to keep that to a minimum or until the run towards the end.

History

The troupe won one of ColdTowne's Cagematch tournaments in late 2012.
