Empty Promises is a ColdTowne harold team and multilevel marketing scheme. Empty Promises hosted "Comedy" Fridays at 11:30 PM at ColdTowne Theater from November 2015-July 2016.  
Their answer to the "What's Your Deal?" question on a 2015 application to perform at [[The Hideout Theatre]]:<blockquote>Coldtowne Theater's Harold standard bearers, Empty Promises, play fast and loose all over Texas. Headquartered in Austin they play at The Hideout Theater, Station Theater and their home, Coldtowne Theater. They focus on honoring the pure form of a Harold. The group is compromised of all-star players Sanjay Rao, Matthew Stoner, Matt Needles, Eli Eidson, Ian Townsend and K.C. Harvey Taylor. The players have been featured in MainStage shows Boy Band, Organ Trail, Beware of Female Spies, Slam Team Six, and Thicker than Water. The cast have all or individually trained with the likes of Todd Stashwick, Susan Messing, Craig Cakowski, Jet Eveleth, Jason Schotts, Dave Buckman, Greg Hess, Rich Talrico, Brandon Gardner and Jimmy Carrane.


Empty Promises is currently coached by Second City TourCo alumni Eric Rutherford. </blockquote>
