Dave Matthews Troupe was an improv troupe.

Summary

Press Blurb

Their press blurb, taken from a 2012 application to perform at The Hideout Theatre:

Dave Matthews Troupe is a power trio of three twenty-something improvisers on a mission to attach the name Dave Matthews to something intentionally funny, for once. Skilled at both slow, grounded scenework and quick, absurd mayhem - DMT is sure to entertain.

"What's Your Deal?"

Their answer to the "What's Your Deal?" question on a 2012 application to perform at The Hideout Theatre:

We're three goofy guys who actually pull off grounded scenes just as well as the ridiculously absurd. We don't play characters that just stand around - we try to move around a lot more than the average troupe and draw inspiration organically from physical interaction with each other. It's the first time the three of us really sat down, thought about who we wanted to play with, and created a small troupe that can create a huge identity for itself. It's not an ad hoc troupe, it's something we're really eager to share with everyone.

We've done monoscenes and very loose Harolds before. I'm not sure what we'll end up on come January. Ratliff has coached us for a few sessions, you might ask him if you have further questions.
