Chrissy Shackelford is an improviser, actress, and audience member who works primarily with ColdTowne Theater.

History

Before coming to improv, Chrissy Shackelford attended the University of Texas at Austin for Theatre & Dance. During her time there, she performed in many University productions such as: "The Difficulty of Crossing a Field"; "Funky Snowman"; "PROOF"; "Trying to Remember"; "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde" (1); "Junie B. Jones: Jingle Bells, Batman Smells"; and "Chronicles of Badass Women". She continues to act locally at theaters around Austin. Past performances include: The City Theatre's "The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told", SummerStock Austin's "Cabaret" (2) at The Long Center, and Zach Scott Theatre's "Dream" and "Survival Skills for the Modern 20 Something" at the 2013 FronteraFest Short Fringe Festival, which she wrote and directed, as well as performed in. She began improv in January 2012 in Chicago at a Second City intensive, upon return to Austin, she began taking classes at ColdTowne Theater and will graduate from their conservatory in July 2013.
