Excused Absence Improv Festival for Youth was first held the weekend of May 1 - 3, 2015 at ColdTowne Theater. Over the course of three days, youth troupes and adult troupes performed countless shows. Workshops were offered to both youth and youth educators.

The second annual Excused Absence Improv Festival will be held the weekend of April 1, 2016.

Kristin Henn serves as Managing Director of the festival.
