Jesse Spots is an improv performer and festival producer with The New Movement Theater.

Film

As a teenager Jesse worked behind-the-scenes on films “25th Hour” and “Hustle & Flow.” He appeared on Japanese television as a stuntman and later created special effects for “James Cameron’s Expedition: Bismarck” and “America’s Most Wanted.”

In 2002 Jesse was attending the University of Texas when Director Robert Rodriguez awarded his short film the grand prize for Alamo Drafthouse’s Bloodshots 48 Hour Film Contest. The film appeared in South By Southwest 2005 as an official selection. The following year Jesse co-wrote & produced a television show with Zach Anner.

Improv

In 2010 Jesse began taking classes at The New Movement in Austin. He graduated the program in 2011 after a ten city comedy tour.

In 2012, he became the Associate Producer for Hell Yes Fest at Moontower Comedy. On April 1st, he moved to Los Angeles and became a talent consultant for Dr. Venus of the Bravo Series “LA Shrinks.”

Upon completion of that series, Jesse moved to New Orleans where he currently resides and performs at the New Movement Theater.
