Dervish was an improv troupe.

Summary

Press Blurb

Their press blurb, taken from a 2013 application to perform at The Hideout Theatre:

Inspired by Todd Stashwick's Beast and Mayfly shows, Dervish takes a suggestion from the audience and performs a thematically connected piece that uses physical and tonal input within scenes as well as to discover organic transformations. We also like to use the space, the environmental sounds and the audience to enrich our show. Featuring some of Austin's most accomplished players and improv instructors, Dervish strives to mix grounded relationship work with absurdity and thematic threads in a long form improv show.
