RhinoDino is an improv troupe that focuses on short-form improv.
History
The troupe was initially conceptualized sometime in 2011 by good friends Quinn Buckner, Kyle Traughber, and Colin Bates as a troupe that would perform "improvised heavy metal." This format was never realized, though RhinoDino began playing short-form shows together at Salvage Vanguard Theater in early 2012. In September, 2012, Lacy Shawn and Courtney Hopkin joined RhinoDino. Colin Bates recently re-located to Houston, but the remainder of the troupe remains intact and continues to perform regularly, with Colin Bates joining whenever he is in town.
RhinoDino previously served as the "House Troupe" for The Derby.
