Golden is an improv troupe that performs silent narrative improv. It originated with the mainstage of the same name.
History
The troupe was a continuation of the April 2015 Hideout student mainstage production.
Format
Golden is a silent narrative show. A single performer is pre-determined by the cast each show to play the protagonist. At the beginning of the show, the protagonist uses a white board and asks the audience for a suggestion of an occupation. Once selected, the suggestion is shared with both cast and audience before the show begins.
Fool's Gold - Golden performs silent scenes and then replays, reinterprets, and reimagines the scenes using dialogue.
Faceless - Golden uses full neutral mask in a montage format.
