Soy Taco is an improv troupe.

Summary

Press Blurb

Their press blurb, taken from a 2015 application to perform at The Hideout Theatre:

Soy Taco came to be as a result of bad Spanish and good improv. The troupe members all met taking classes at the Hideout Theatre. Primarily inspired by Armando-style improv, they love sharing personal stories (sometimes TOO personal) to inspire scenes. They also love to experiment with different styles, props, and the occasional taco.

"What's Your Deal?"

Their answer to the "What's Your Deal?" question on a 2015 application to perform at The Hideout Theatre:

We have two styles: Armando-ish and our new format ImPROPer.

Armando - We ask the audience what they want to learn about our lives and a troupe member tells a real-life story based on the suggestion. We then perform scenes inspired by that story.

ImPROPer - Each troupe member brings a random prop to incorporate into scenes. The props are top secret! We're still working out the kinks, but we think we'll give someone a bell to ring when it's time to bring out a new prop.
