Ratliff and Jackson is an improv duo consisting of John Ratliff and Lisa Jackson.

"'We need a suggestion of something you have on or with you that has a lot of meaning for you.' From that starting point, Ratliff & Jackson create a longform show that can go from hilarious to heartbreaking and back again, sometimes within seconds. They might play a two-person single scene, or they might play multiple characters in a series of scenes, depending on what happens in the moment. Because it's, y'know, improv. Two of Austin's most versatile improvisers, Lisa Jackson and John Ratliff are equally comfortable with realistic, emotionally grounded scenework and high-pitched, not-very-convincing British accents. Lisa teaches at The Hideout Theatre. John teaches at The Institution Theater. They both teach at ColdTowne Conservatory."

Two of Austin's most versatile improvisers, Lisa Jackson and John Ratliff are equally comfortable with emotionally realistic grounded scenework and barely-plausible high-pitched British accents. Lisa and John are both members of the ColdTowne Conservatory faculty and also play together in their group The Honeypot. Lisa is a primary cast member of ColdTowne's Stool Pigeon show and improvises with her husband, Josh Gill, as Galactic. John performs with The Glamping Trip and The Randy Meisner and also teaches at the Institution Theater.

Currently we're doing a format that the audiences have loved called 3, 2, 1 (indicating the number of characters in the scenes in the top three scenes then we collide those worlds)
