History Under the Influence was an improv show created by Kevin Miller and inspired by the Drunk History YouTube videos.

History

History Under the Influence started out as a Free Fringe format. It was proposed by Kevin Miller and played in the The Free Fringe on DATE with a cast of Ryan Hill, [[]], [[]]. The cast was recruited from a post on Roy Janik's Facebook wall.

After a very successful Free Fringe show, Kevin submitted the show for a month-long run in The Threefer at The Hideout Theater, somewhat tongue-in-cheek, not expecting it to be scheduled. Roy had been looking to shake up the Threefer and doubled-down on Kevin's dare. 'History Under the Influence' played five sold out shows at the Hideout in May of 2014.

It was regarded by the cast as an effortless format where comedy happened naturally. Audience response was extremely positive.
