Press Blurb

Their press blurb, taken from a 2014 application to perform at The Hideout Theatre:

In a terrible dystopian future, robots have taken over Earth.

Mankind has been all but wiped out, and any remaining humans are kept alive for only one reason; to be farmed for their entertainment ideas (as robots themselves are terrible at creating entertainment).

The team of captive writers made up of the last surviving humans are brought into the "submission chamber" where they are forced to smoke space-drugs, and have their brains scanned to reveal a High-concept show idea to be made into entertainment for the robots...for example, "What if every character entrance was treated like the most popular character on a sitcom"?

"What's Your Deal?"

Their answer to the "What's Your Deal?" question on a 2014 application to perform at The Hideout Theatre:

The show is short form disguised as long form. There is a source scene with all of the prisoners, and their robot overlord. The robot then takes each Hoomon and extracts their best idea(short form game). The games are thought up by each individual before coming to the show, and are not revealed until they are said on stage. We then play that idea for as long as it has legs before returning to the source scene. Wash, rinse, and repeat. The show is costumed and there is also a tech component. I think it would be a real treat to try it at The Hideout.
