Kacey Samiee (/ˈsæmiːˌiː/) is a performer, director, coach, teacher, and singer of improv.
History
Kacey started doing improv since 2000 as a member of The Hideout Theatre's house troupe, We Could Be Heroes. A few years later she started directing and coaching both short form and narrative shows. In 2001, Kacey became a founding member of Girls Girls Girls and was a co-creator of the first musical improv troupe in Austin. She spent the next decade helping to develop, and refine the technique of musical improv with Girls Girls Girls until she left in 2010. In 2013 she created the curriculum for three levels of musical improv at The Hideout Theatre and began to teach. In 2015 she signed on to teach regular improv at the same institution as well.
