History Under the Influence started out as a Free Fringe format. It was proposed by Kevin Miller and played in the The Free Fringe on March 20th, 2014 with a cast of Ryan Hill, Jillian Summar, Bridget Brewer, David Lampe, Caeriel Crestin, Mitchell Deane, Peter Rogers, and Kevin Miller. The cast was recruited from a post on Roy Janik's Facebook wall.
After a very successful Free Fringe show, Kevin submitted the show for a month-long run in The Threefer at The Hideout Theater, somewhat tongue-in-cheek, not expecting it to be scheduled. Roy had been looking to shake up the Threefer and doubled-down on Kevin's dare. The first show in the Threefer coincided with a final tech and dress rehearsal for Hurly Burly.
